Atelier Nini Andrade Silva proudly signs the interior design of the newly opened Kimpton Atlântico Algarve, the first hotel of the acclaimed Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand, part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts group, to open in Portugal. Located near the pristine Praia de São Rafael, in the heart of the Algarve, this five-star destination is more than a hotel: it is a living canvas where place, culture, and form are in constant dialogue.
With her unmistakable signature style, Nini Andrade Silva brings a refined sensorial language to the project, rooted in Portuguese tradition and elevated through contemporary expression. From the quiet geometry of southern tiles to the warmth of hand-thrown ceramics and organic textures, the spaces are conceived as emotional landscapes. The result is a hotel that feels both timeless and grounded, refined yet welcoming.
Nini’s design draws inspiration from the soul of the Algarve, the rhythm of its light, and the harmony of its coast, balancing architectural elegance with artisanal intimacy. Carefully curated indoor and outdoor environments reveal an eye for craftsmanship and international design, made tangible through the use of furniture, lighting, and objects from leading global brands, including:

These elements are integrated not as decorative accents but as key contributors to the hotel’s identity — functional sculptures that support the narrative of a contemporary Portuguese escape with global sophistication.
From the wellness hub to the rooftop lounge, each zone is a deliberate composition of texture, light, and rhythm, shaped with the hospitality expertise of Highgate Portugal and executed in dialogue with IHG’s lifestyle philosophy. It is a space where barefoot luxury meets a cinematic sense of stillness.
