- Lamp presents Ambient G2, the ambient light technique to model space through colour and different light optics
- This new linear design luminaire can be installed in offices, educational or social health centers
The creation of light atmospheres is key to enhancing the experience of spaces. Through the appropriate combination of direct and indirect emissions, it is possible to illuminate spaces considering different layers of lighting that provide spatial hierarchy.
Ambient lighting is an essential layer to improve the spatial perception of the environment, highlight finishes, colours and textures, as well as generate the appropriate contrasts that improve visual comfort in a space, incorporating stimuli that positively influence cognitive and emotional processes. Task lighting, on the other hand, allows us to achieve the levels of illumination necessary to perform specific tasks.
Thus, Lamp, a leading company in the design and production of advanced technical lighting, launches Ambient G2, an extremely versatile linear lighting solution with high technical specifications that allows any lighting project to be complemented with this contribution of ambient light, capable of changing the spatial perception through the different effects, thus enriching the lighting experience.
The technique of ambient light to model space
With a minimalist design, Ambient G2 is a luminaire that meets high technical demands, maximising the volumetric expression of the space. Its versatility and high integration means that it can be installed in a wide variety of spaces: offices, educational centres, social and health and wellness spaces, and other contract spaces. It has two switching options, single and double, for precise control depending on the light application required in each case.
In addition, it contemplates the options of individual installation, in vertical or horizontal position, as well as the possibility of generating continuous lines of light, creating lighting effects of great uniformity. Thanks to the incorporation of asymmetrical optics, it is possible to efficiently and uniformly illuminate passageways, create uniform ceiling baths that generate diffuse and comfortable lighting, or highlight the textures of a vertical surface thanks to its Grazer optics.
Combinable color palettes and optical apertures
In addition to the standard black and white finishes, Ambient G2 accepts any paint used “in-situ” to blend in with the specific space where it is installed thanks to its “RAW” finish.
With this launch, Lamp takes the opportunity to present two new color palettes in 2024: Foundation and Retropía.
Foundation is a return to basics. Cold tones with which to face the complex, with which we approach the pure essence of the most minimalist spaces looking for ways to make our lives easier. Neutrality. Vernacular contextualization. Technological reinterpretation
As the world around us becomes more complicated and challenging, we look for ways to make our lives easier, if only for a few moments.
Retropía, on the other hand, is a color palette that invites you to dream or imagine a near future by drinking from vibrant places from the past. Its warmer shades offer a retro-futuristic vision of spaces. The analogue renaissance is a sample of the nostalgic current that invades all facets of reality, from entertainment to fashion and habitat. This palette invites you to escape from everyday stress and set your sights on the near future. Escapism. Fun. Future nostalgia. Real Surrealism. Dream Realism.
In all its colour version, Lamp Ambient G2 offers three different and combinable optical possibilities:
- General Lighting: opal distribution to generate a comfortable ambient light, increasing visual comfort and contributing to the contribution of cylindrical lighting.
- Efficient Lighting: asymmetrical optics to maximise the light effect on horizontal planes (ceilings and floors), illuminated from the perimeter.
- Accent Lighting: “grazer” optics to emphasize vertical walls and highlight textures.
Eco-design, visual comfort and well-being
Likewise, Ambient G2 has been designed under the parameters of eco-design and the circular economy and offers technical and lighting features that guarantee maximum well-being and visual comfort. Schematically, all these characteristics can be summarized as follows:
- Designed under the criteria of eco-design.
- Reduce (more compact, fewer materials).
- Reuse (incorporating recycled and recyclable materials).
- Repair (extending the useful life of the product thanks to its modularity, extending its phase of use (B6)).
- Recycle (product that can be disassembled to assess its value at the end of the life cycle).
- Reduction of the CO2 footprint in manufacturing thanks to the use of recycled aluminium.
- High energy efficiencies of up to 142 lm Out/W.
- Photobiological Risk Free according to the standard recommended in the UNE 62471 standard.
- “Flicker-Free” flicker control complying with IEEE standard 1789 -2015 LED methods and according to NEMA 77-2017 (Pst LM<1.0 and SVM <0.6).
- Direct and indirect distributions: improving visual balance and vertical illuminance.
- Multiple light distributions adapted to the needs of users: Opal, Asymmetrical, Grazer.
- Variety of color temperatures 3000K, 4000K, and dynamic LED technology with color temperature adaptation (2700-6500K).
