2023 June 28, Gothenburg, Sweden Global electric mobility technology brand ZEEKR will open pre-orders in Sweden and the Netherlands for the ZEEKR 001 luxury Shooting Brake and ZEEKR X urban compact luxury SUV and on June 28, with first deliveries commencing in the autumn.
Already an immediate success story in their home market, the ZEEKR 001 and ZEEKR X are bringing the same compelling blend of distinctive design, state-of-the-art technology, range and performance to Europe, together with everything customers need for a seamless ownership experience, to firmly establish the ZEEKR brand’s place in the world’s most established luxury car market. Befitting a young, highly ambitious brand, it is ZEEKR’s goal to expand into most countries in Western Europe by 2026.
The ZEEKR 001’s imposing stance and purposeful, streamlined form – aerodynamically optimized to just 0.23 Cd to enhance range and refinement – clearly signals the vehicle’s Guinness World Record-breaking performance and agility, with the 400kW (544hp), 686Nm, dual-motor all-wheel drive Performance and Privilege models capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in a breathtaking 3.8 seconds. Equipped with the same 100kWh battery, the single motor rear-wheel drive Long Range version can travel up to 620km (WLTP)1 on a single charge, making range anxiety a thing of the past. (ZEEKR 001: Combined power consumption in kWh/100km: 18.2-18.5 (WLTP); Combined CO2 emissions combined in g/km: 0). Capable of 200kW DC fast charging, 0-80% takes just 30 minutes. The powerful 22KW AC on-board charger can fully replenish the battery from 0-100% in only five and a half hours.
Offered as standard on the Privilege model, the ZEEKR 001’s air suspension with adaptive damping allows it to handle with precision and control without compromising ride quality – first class comfort within the intelligent digital cockpit is assured no matter what the road conditions, or how long the journey.
Created for adventures in the city and beyond, the ZEEKR X has a stunningly pure, perfectly executed design, and within its compact dimensions is a spacious, luxurious interior offering technologies and features usually found in larger vehicles, such as surround sound audio and a super fast, 5G infotainment system – it can even park itself6. When you just want to drive, the dual-motor, all-wheel drive Privilege model’s 315kW( 428hp) and 543Nm of instant torque mean it can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
All ZEEKR X models have a 69kWh battery, which can deliver around 440km of range (subject to WLTP homologation)4 in the single motor, rear-wheel drive Long Range Model. (ZEEKR X: Combined power consumption in kWh/100km: 16.4-18.3 (Estimation), Combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0). Complementing the 150kW DC charging capability, the powerful 22kW AC on-board charger can fully charge the battery from empty in only four hours.
Both the ZEEKR X and ZEEKR 001 are developed from the SEA architecture – a modular, scalable, all-electric platform which incorporates cutting-edge powertrain, infotainment, chassis, and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) technologies delivering L2+ functionality. Sophisticated suspension systems and light, stiff body structures are fundamental to first-class ride, handling, steering, refinement, and safety, and these attributes were engineered into SEA from day one.
To ensure that the ZEEKR X and ZEEKR 001 meet the demanding expectations of drivers in Europe, the fine-tuning of chassis systems and vehicle dynamics has been done by the highly experienced engineering teams at ZEEKR’s European R&D Center in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Spiros Fotinos, CEO for ZEEKR Europe, said: “Europe’s luxury car market is one of most established, most competitive and most demanding in the world. It’s also one going through a dramatic change as consumers make the switch to electric. As a pure-electric luxury brand founded on world-class design, engineering, and innovation – with customer service at the heart of everything we do – this represents an unprecedented opportunity for us. The level of interest we’ve already received in the ZEEKR X and ZEEKR 001 has been incredible, and we’re looking forward to opening the order books in Sweden and the Netherlands and seeing these amazing EVs on Europe’s roads.”
Buying and owning an EV should be as enjoyable as driving one, which is why ZEEKR has deeply studied and understood the needs of consumers who are ready to make the switch to EV as well as addressing the pain points of existing EV customers. The result is a new, One-Stop Shop approach, built around four key pillars.
The first is ZEEKR Finance, which offers a range of options for both private and fleet customers, developed with a number of key partners, which will enable them to access ZEEKR vehicles in the way that is best for them.
The charging experience, either at home or at public charging stations, still remains a challenge for many EV owners: Finding skilled technicians for the installation of the wallbox at home can be a daunting task, especially if electricity grid adaptations are required. Furthermore, utilizing different public charging networks within a country – or even city – requires multiple subscriptions, making this a non-user-friendly experience for the EV driver. That problem becomes more pronounced when drivers need to use chargers in another country or region of Europe.
ZEEKR Power is committed to making charging a seamless experience for customers: ZEEKR Power will offer a complete charging solution, including wallbox installation7, support and maintenance, through our network of qualified partners, and in parallel ZEEKR Power will also support fleet customers with their charging needs. ZEEKR Power will also give ZEEKR customers seamless access to a vast Pan-European public charging network (which includes fast and superfast chargers) using a transparent authentication and payment method.
The ZEEKR Care service program is a convenient way to ensure ZEEKR vehicles are kept perfectly maintained, with mobile technicians able to service or repair them at locations chosen by the customer, or through a visit to a ZEEKR Flagship store or networks operated by ZEEKR Care partners. For maximum flexibility, this can be purchased with the vehicle or at any time during the ownership period, and is also fully transferable to the next customer. Pre-order customers will benefit from a complementary three-year/ 60,000km Service Plan.
Reflecting ZEEKR’s exceptional quality standards, all models come with a 5+5 year warranty, comprising cover for the first five years or 100,000km. This can then be extended for up to a further five years – and an overall total of 200,000km – when scheduled servicing is carried out in the ZEEKR Service network. The high voltage battery is protected by an eight-year or 200,000km warranty, whichever comes first.
Finally, ZEEKR Connect offers drivers 5G connectivity, enabling them to access popular apps such as Spotify, Stingray’s karaoke, and video streaming services8. With the ZEEKR App Store and regular Over-the-air updates, drivers can effortlessly enhance their driving experience while keeping their ZEEKR vehicle personalized and up to date with the latest innovations, contributing to maintain the resale value of the vehicle.
